About:

The Man Behind the Lobster

Yes, in perpetuity, this is the section that people are desperate for. It must bring out the inner voyeur in everyone. But I'm no different; I've clicked on "About" links before, too.

I was born (obviously—I mean what, you think I was hatched by aliens and beamed to earth?) on May 2, 1983.

I've had an interest in computer graphics since 1988, when I used to enjoy creating drawings with an old monochrome version of Publisher's Paintbrush. As the years progressed, so did my skills. This all leads up to present day, where I'm not the least bit intimidated by Photoshop.

My interest in web programming came a little bit later, around 1997. My grandma had just gotten a computer, so I started creating a weekly, HTML "Giordano Newsletter," which basically contained some trivia, a few pictures, a shareware game, and some really abysmal midi music.

Anyhow, thanks for stopping by. As always, feel free to email me.

Why LobsterAttack?

I've always liked lobsters, and in 1995 or so, I started creating a lobster cartoon on the back of birthday cards and such.

From there it escalated, and my relatives started buying me fake lobsters. Currently, lobsters can be found on my desk, on my light fixture, in my bedroom, in the bathroom, and even in the shower.

I continue to occasionally draw a lobster cartoon. My lobster's character is typically grouchy (but not crabby—he's a lobster, not a crab), and always has some sort of wisecrack or play on words to divulge.

With that in mind, when it came time for me to pick a domain name for my website, I wanted to pick something catchy, and after some consideration, I decided that LobsterAttack.com was the catchiest available name.

Lastly, I have to add that LobsterAttack™ is a trademark of Thomas J. Giordano.
